Assigning the software using the client .MSI installer Highly recommended: Ensures that the software is automatically installed and configured for computers/users. Publishing the software using a .ZAP file Legacy method: Makes the software available for install via Add/Remove programs, but requires users to do so manually.
Note: If you do not want to share the MSI from its default location, you will need to move the following files/folders to the new location and share that folder out:C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV\client\sbnvclient.msiC:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV\client\SpywareBlaster NV\*.*All necessary files will only be present once you have completed Client Configuration in the Administrator Console.
Any users that are affected by that Group Policy will need to restart their PC’s to get the SBNV Client Installed. Since this is an Assigned Application it will be automatically installed and a scheduled task will be created for the SBNV client to check for updates when a user logs on.
If you wish to deploy the SpywareBlaster NV Client using Group Policy and a .ZAP file, a document is available that details the process: SpywareBlaster NV Client .ZAP Deployment (PDF) Please Note: This information is retained only for legacy purposes. Unless you must use the .ZAP file method, it recommended that you instead use the MSI installer method detailed above.
