If you have Group Policy set up to help manage machines on your network, the above method is highly recommended.

An installer for the client that automates copying and installing the appropriate files, and scheduling an autostart task, is available on the Administrator machine under:
C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV\client\

1. Copy the entire contents of the C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV\client\ folder to a CD/DVD, or make them available via another method.
   
   
2. Run the sbnvclient.msi on all machines.
   
   

Note: You must ensure that both the .msi file and the subfolder containing three files (spywareblaster.exe, config.cfg, license.cfg) are made available in the same arrangement.

• Copy the three required SpywareBlaster NV Client files to the client machine(s)

1. Locate the folder in which you installed the SpywareBlaster NV Administrator Console. (On the Administrator machine.)
   
   (By default this is C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV\)
   
   
   
2. Browse to the "client" subdirectory.
   
   (By default this is C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV\client\)
   
   
   
3. Copy the following files from the client subdirectory to your Client machines:
   
   -spywareblaster.exe
   -config.cfg
   -license.cfg
   
   These files will be present once you have completed Client Configuration in the Administrator Console.
   
   (You can put these files anywhere on your client machines - we recommend "C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV". Simply ensure that all three files are in the same folder.)

• Set the SpywareBlaster NV Client executable to start on the client machine(s)
  
  Assuming that you have installed the Client in the default location recommended above, the command-line for starting the SpywareBlaster NV Client executable is:
  "C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV\spywareblaster.exe"
  
  There are multiple ways of setting the client to start automatically. You may have a preferred method, depending on your organization's network setup.
  Examples follow below:
  
  
• Using Windows Task Scheduler
  
  (These instructions are written for Windows XP, but should generally apply to other versions of Windows, including Vista. The location and names of the various options may vary slightly between different versions of Windows.)
  
  
  • Open the Control Panel
  • Double-click on "Scheduled Tasks"
  • Double-click on "Add a Scheduled Task".
  • Click NEXT
  • Click "Browse..."
  • Browse to the folder in which you installed the SpywareBlaster NV Client files
    (If you installed the client in the default location recommended above, this is C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster NV\)
    
  • Click on spywareblaster.exe
  • Click OPEN
  • Set up your schedule
  • If you are asked for a password, enter and confirm your login password
  • Click FINISH
  
  
• Using the Windows Registry "RUN" key
  
  (This method is only recommended for Windows 98/ME.)
  
  
  • Save the following text as a file named "sbnvrun.reg" (without the quotes)

  • Double-click on the "sbnvrun.reg" file to add the Run entry to the registry.
    
    (If this doesn't work, please double-check to ensure that the file ends in ".reg", without the quotes.)
